Robyn L. Wallace, Ph.D.

Dr. Wallace, is a Florida Licensed Psychologist (PY 7317) who specializes in the areas of behavioral medicine and health psychology. She has received formalized training and has supervised both pre- and post-doctoral psychology trainees in the treatment of chronic pain conditions; including Chronic Pain Syndrome, Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, and Medically Unexplained Illness. Given her background and training, Dr. Wallace is especially adept at helping patients with co-occurring physical and emotional illness.

Additionally, Dr. Wallace has been actively involved in research and has 15 publications in peer-reviewed medical and psychological journals and books. She also frequently presents at professional conferences and community events, covering topics such as Psychological Distress and Medical Illness, Coping with Chronic Pain and Co-Morbid Psychological Disorders, and Managing Caregiver Stress.

In addition to being a Licensed Psychologist, Dr. Wallace is also a certified Pilates instructor. When combined with her psychology training and experience, this certification provides her with the unique skills and ability to offer her patients an array of treatments and knowledge that truly incorporates the mind-body connection. Based on the mounting research literature and her personal and clinical experience, Dr. Wallace strongly believes that there are no physical health problems that do not affect the mind and that all emotional health problems impact our physical well-being.

Dr. Wallace has multiple professional psychology affiliations; she is a member of the American Psychological Association and the Florida Psychological Association. Dr. Wallace is also a member of the IDEA Health and Fitness Association as part of her work as a Pilates instructor.
